As read from: Liz’s Photography Blog

Many years ago photographers tended to have a bit of a “free pass,” so to speak, when traveling in war-torn countries. Each side fervently believed that the photos would show the “truth” of the conflict (and each side
believed their side was the truth). As a result, photographers were largely left alone. In the past few years though, photographers seem to have become a favorite target for abductions. On Saturday, another photographer was abducted. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Nigel Brennan was kidnapped while visiting a refugee camp in Somalia. Currently very little is known about who may be holding the photographer or his condition.
Hope he’s okay.
